Alexandru is a Case Handler (DG COMP) at the European Commission. Previously, he was the European Public Policy Lead at the Ada Lovelace Institute.
Alexandru has worked at a number of civil society organisations with a human rights and digital rights focus, as well as for the European Government Affairs team of a Big Tech company, coordinating their work on artificial intelligence. His background is in law, with a particular focus on European Union law, human rights and competition law.
